I'm not your average wedding photographer.

When I was a little girl and everyone was planning their weddings (including me), I didn't want what everyone else wanted. I couldn't see myself inside on such a wonderful day. I wanted to go down by Memorial Lake under the tulip trees and have a small ceremony. I wanted to finish it up and have everyone in the whole town and all their aunts and uncles and cousins and all my teachers and everyone at church and the neighbor lady who always gave me cookies come down and join us for a big potluck picnic. I could always see it: spring, pink flowers on the tulip trees and on the ground, cool outside, close family, me, The One, sun, the lake, the smells, the birds, no shoes, no flowers, no bridal party, a baby blue dress, the pastor, and Jesus followed by the best Sunday picnic that town had ever seen.

So when I say I'm not your average wedding photographer, I'm not talking about only my photos. They are different, but the little girl inside me that still gets butterflies in her stomach when one of her friends gets engaged just never wanted what everyone else seemed to want. And because of that, I'm on a mission to photograph offbeat couples.

I shoot quickly, capturing the moments as they happen. I take formal portraits that are fun and quirky. I'll dance at your reception and photograph everyone who is on the dance floor with me. I work quickly and I edit your wedding to give you the best selection of pictures that tell the story of your day.

Pricing

Basic Coverage: $600 : An hour before the ceremony 'til we're done with the portraits after the ceremony (about 4 hours). This is for those whose budget just doesn't have room for more. I'll make sure to cover every aspect of your ceremony and capture all the portraits you want.

A Little More: $800 : An hour before the ceremony through the main events of the reception (about 6 hours). I'll cover the ceremony, the portraits, and the big events at the reception (main entrance, first dances, toasts, cake cutting, etc.). Once we've covered the big events, I'll hit the road. This is for the budget-minded couple who wants to capture more than just the ceremony.

The Entire Day: $1200 : From getting ready 'til the very last dance. I'll be there from hair and make-up 'til we close down the reception! I'll cover the ceremony, the portraits, the entire reception, and all the little details in between. This service covers damn near everything you could possibly want for your big day.

The Whole She-bang: $1500: You get the wedding, the engagement shoot, AND a day-after portrait session with just me and the two of you. So you love photography? So you love my work? So you want me to cover absolutely everything? Me too! We'll get together before the wedding (3-6 months in advance) and have a good ol' time with a fun photo shoot. Bring outfits, bring ideas, let's go have fun. I'll cover your Big Day from getting ready to the very last dance. Then, you'll get all dolled up (if you want), put on your fancy gear, and we'll have a fun session the day after. This way, you can relax on your wedding day, knowing we're going to go out and create some really beautiful portraits the next day.

With every one of these options, you'll receive a DVD with all of your images in color and monochrome. I edit every image personally with an eye for making you look your absolute best. I retouch each image as needed.

Discounts

For Chubby Girls: 30% off any service : Call yourself voluptous or full figured or maybe even plus size like the fashion world calls us, but if you're a size 10 or above, then you get a discount! Why? Because so am I and because I'm really tired of seeing nothing but thin girls EVERYWHERE. I don't really like shopping, and I never see chubby girls in movies, and when we're represented in tv, we have to be funny or mean or have some sort of attitude, but we just can't be the wildly beautiful, perfect personality, leading lady, can we? So, since the world seems to have a problem with us, I'm giving us a discount.

For LGBTQ: 50% off any service : Until every state in the Union recognizes your legal right to wed and all of the benefits that come with that, you have 50% off of my services. I hope that day comes sooner rather than later.

For Colorful Women (and Men): 20% off weddings and trash the dress : If your dress is not white (and not off-white or cream or champagne or some other color that really is white), then I want to salute your style and your taste with a discount! If you have tattoos that will be visible, then you get this discount too. (This goes for all tattooed grooms as well!)
